Nature New Mills are supporting New Mills Town Council’s consultation on the Five Year Plan for parks and open spaces, by helping discover the wildlife that lives there at the moment and advising on potential future options.
A series of events will provide an opportunity for the community to voice their ideas and hopes for their green spaces with inspiration, activities and information provided by the Town Council and their partner organisations, Nature New Mills, Incredible Edible New Mills and The Solitary Bee Nursery.
People attending the next round of events will be encouraged to take part in Nature Discovery activities to find and record species present on the day. Equipment, funded by the Species Survival Fund, will be provided to to help with identification. The activities follow on from similar successful events at New Mills Community Orchard and Mousley Bottom.
The events will be held at:
Saturday Sept 27, 2-4 pm, Rowarth Community Field, Little Mill Inn, SK22 1EB
Monday Sept 29, 4-6 pm, Bakehurst Park , New St/Marsh Lane, SK22 4PN
Saturday Oct 4, 2-4 pm, Beard Crescent Playground, SK22 4LJ
Do come on down to discover nature and develop ideas for the open spaces, it would be great to see you there!
